To make things easier for you and myself, I've sifted through previous announcements, forum posts and articles to provide you with this list of CB 1.2 features and add-on extensions. I hope to keep this up to date as new functionality is introduced and plugins or modules are released. Keep in mind, this is only a listing of "Team Releases" and "Documentation Subscriber Releases". Maybe after this is up-to-date, we can begin a third-party listing.

Community Builder 1.2.1 Stable has finally been released! All known bugs have been fixed and numerous functions have been added since CB 1.0, CB 1.1 and even the inception of CB 1.2. Special credit goes to Beat. You'll notice he's not credited with any one of the extensions listed below. That's because he's contributing to all of them!

• Works natively with Joomla 1.0.X, Joomla 1.5.X and Mambo 4.5.X and 4.6.X (note: if using any older plugins or modules, you will still need to enable the legacy plugin)
• Core fields are now treated as CB fields (name, avatar, email, username, etc.)
• Advanced searching configurable in List Management and Field Management
• New field types (decimal integers and uploaded images)
• Dynamic user lists that show content in relation to the user's own Profile (same city, same age, opposite gender, same interests, etc.)
• Custom field input validation
• New CB Tool to check on fix integrity of user database
• More extensive layout facilities and substitutions (allows easier template control and customization)
• Last-minute much-requested addition of Login and Logout menu items
• Kunena integration

The API documentation has not been released as of yet, but many developers will be able to create additional plugins and modules for use with CB and GJ much easier than before. In the meantime, the code is commented for ease of use. Also, new plugins will *soon* be released that will increase ease of use, both for developers and end users.

1. GroupJive Component
   
   • GroupJive has been ported onto the NEW Community Builder 1.2.1 framework
   • The CB framework allows GroupJive to work with Joomla 1.0 and Joomla 1.5 natively (Mambo has not yet been tested but should also work)
   • CB Plugin System is now used for GroupJive extensions and integrations, which means third-party developers can use their current knowledge of CB plugin creation instead of learning a new API
   • The CB GJ Plugin creates a GroupJive tab in your CB profile listing the groups you are a member of
   • A reworked Hemi template
   • The English language file has been revamped for the new release
   • Updated Largest Groups module
   • Updated Latest Bulletins module

2. CBSubs Subscription Plugin
   
   • a commercial plugin available for purchase
     • per-site
     • based on number of users on site
     • includes one year of maintenace, upgradeable before expiration in yearly increments, or purchase lifetime maintenance
     • license is upgradable as site membership grows by paying the difference
   • paid and/or timed subscriptions
     • Subscription (controls downloads, content, tabs, fields, components, modules, plugins, groups, folders, etc.)
     • Purchase Merchandise (Digital or Physical)
     • Donation (for all your hard work!)
   • members can subscribe to multiple plans with various priveledges
   • Integrated extended ACL without core hacks!
   • Currently supports PayPal, Authorize.net, YellowPay (SwissPost) and dummy and will support 2checkOut

       • assign a plan name to a CB text field
       • enable a feature for a user based on CB field

     • Google Analytics Integration Plugin - automatically places your GoogleAnalytics tracking code on a CBSubs™ plan
       
     • jAwards Integration Plugin - automatically give CBSubs™ plan subscribers one or more jAwards and take awards back when CBSubsTM plan expires
     • Virtuemart Integration Plugin - provision seller privileges for members when they subscribe to a plan and put members back to buyer status when plan period expires
       
     • GroupJive Integration Plugin
       • add/remove member to a specific GroupJive group based on plan subscription (activation/expiration)
       • automatically create a new GroupJive group when a member subscribes to a plan. The group name can be based on the unique username (or some other unique CB field)
     • CB Plan Image Integration Plugin - display an appropriate image in a CB plan image field to indicate which CBSubs™ subscription plan a user is subscribed to
     • Folder Protect Integration Plugin -

       • READ: BY Content Section - allows you to protect all articles of one or more Joomla content sections from being read (viewed) based on a CBSubs™ plan to specify that a section (and all its categories and articles) is only viewable if the viewer is subscribed to a specific CBSubs™ plan.
       • READ: By Content Category - protect an entire content category based on a CBSubs™ plan
       • READ: By Content - protect individual articles from being viewed by members if they are not subscribed to a specific CBSubs™ plan
       • Author:By Content Section - limit authoring to specific section content based on a CBSubs™ plan

3. Privacy 1.0 RC Plugin (new! - first time release)
   • offered only to CB Documentation Subscribers as a thank you gift
   • allows website administrators to specify if a field can be edited from front-end or not by the user or by a CB moderator
   • allows Administrator and Members to turn on privacy settings on a fields basis or tabs basis
   • Administrator chooses which tabs and fields Members can control and whether settings can be overrode by Members
   • Members choose private, view by public, view by members or view by connections
4. CB Rating Fieldtype 1.0 RC Plugin by JoomlaJoe aka MamboJoe
   
   • currently available to Documentation Subscribers but will be available to the public
   • offered to CB Documentation Subscribers only, as a thank you
   • adds 2 new field types to available CB fields
     • Stars My Rating
     • Stars Your Rating
   • Select the number of rating stars to show
   • Select how the total rating is displayed (options are: Whole(1), Half(1/2), thirds(1/3), quarters(1/4))
   • Specify rating audience of the field (Profile Visitor or Profile Owner)
   • Specify if anonymous voting is allowed, if logging is enabled
   • Choose whether to allow multiple votes or not
   • AJAX powered fields permit users to submit their rating on specific topics
   • AJAX powered fields permit profile owners to express his/her opinion (in rate form)
5. CB Captcha 2.2 RC4 for CB 1.2 by nant
   
   • Available only to documentation subscribers as a thank you.
   • fixes all previous known issues
   • Lightweight, compact design
   • Visual and audio Captcha generation
   • Audio Captcha generation uses dynamic stitching technique of light weight MP3 Nato phonetic files
   • Audio Captcha playback via nice popup media playback window
   • Extensive set of configurable backend parameters including Image dimensions, Image text, background and noise color, Number of security characters to be generated in Captcha image, Configurable character set to be used in Captcha image, Ability to decide if audio and visual Captcha should be generated or visual onlyBackend test generation based on current parameters (thus allowing website administrators to see what current parameter settings will generate in front-end)
   • Backend prerequisite checklist (for GD library and Freetype)
   • Plugin now generates image from separate php file, thus IMAGE and SOUND generation is unaffected by header garbage introduced in template or language files
   • Captcha security settings can be enforced in one or more (Captcha plugin backend configurable) of the following CB related processes: CB registration process, CB lost password process, CB profile emailing process, CB contact component process (CB contact 1.1 component), CB login form process (with new CB login module not yet released)
   • Captcha plugin events added for further integration with other (future) CB plugins
   • adds even more anti-spam controls to captcha generation and control to discourage spam bot registrations
6. CB ProfileBook 1.2 RC2 for CB 1.2 stable by JoomlaJoe aka MamboJoe (plugin and new module) 
   
   • currently available to Documentation Subscribers but will be available to the public
   • Joomla 1.0/1.5 & Mambo native
   • fixes issues identified in previous release
   • plugin now has 3 associated tabs
     
     • existing ProfileBook tab gives your profile owner a guestbook/rating functionality
     • new ProfileBlog tab that adds blogging to your profile without requiring extra components
     • new ProfileWall tab allows members and visitors to post messages on the same wall in a CB tab
   • each tab can be published by the admin and enabled/disabled by the profile owner
   • captcha support has been integrated for visitors
   • management of a "NEW" status with CB login module integration.

7. CB Profile Gallery 1.2 RC2 for CB 1.2 stable by nant (plugin, module and documentation!)
   
   • currently available to Documentation Subscribers but will be available to the public
   • Joomla 1.0/1.5 & Mambo native
   • improves the user interface
   • all identified issues have been fixed
   • CB jQuery lightbox is used to avoid javascript template conflicts (you can see this in action on the Joomlapolis MyCommunity template demo sites)
   • includes 31 pages of documentation!
8. CB LastVisitors by trail
   
   • On a profile without hits since installation of RC2, no lastviews tab is shown.
   • in a profile with less than set listlimit hits since installation of RC2, lastviews tab with actual current hitcount will be shown.
   • CB users with avatar will have avatar shown, users without will have tnnophoto in your own language shown, if this fails, default english tnnophoto is shown.
   • Total count can be shown to admins and moderators. This moderator group can be selected.
   • Total count CAN be shown to profile owners if you set this option in backend. (not recommended)
   • Total count CAN be shown to all users, if you set this option in backend. (not recommended)
   • If you happily use this KarmaWare plugin and do not give me JP karma here, you get universal negative karma which will result in the fact that your server's harddrive will be deleted by mysterious universal forces. For Joomla 1.5 native but works with CB 1.2 with legacy plugin enabled
9. CB AutoWelcome 1.2 RC for CB 1.2 by nant
   
   • currently available to Documentation Subscribers but will be available to the public
   • Sends a welcome email or private message to newly registered members
   • Allows automatic connection request to new members
10. CB Authorbot by JoomlaJoe aka MamboJoe
    
    • Link to article-writers' profiles
    • Will be updated for Joomla 1.5 native but works with CB 1.2 with legacy plugin enabled
11. CB Activities Plugin (WIP-not yet released)
    
    • Allows users to see what their connections have been doing
    • Can be contingent on Privacy Plugin Administrator and/or Member choices
12. CB AJAX Text Fieldtype 1.0 RC Plugin for CB 1.2
    
    • currently available to Documentation Subscribers but will be available to the public
    • adds a new AJAX text field type to available CB fields, similar to the status field available in Facebook or other similar sites
    • resulting fields can be quickly edited from front-end and are refreshed immediately
    • add as many "what's my status" type fields as you want in your profile
    • many configuration settings possible
13. MyCommunity Joomla and CB Templates by Jacob Hodara
    
    • a commercial release (20 €)
    • light, lean, tableless design
    • super efficient in terms of loading time, size and cleanness
    • validates XHTML 1.0 trans and CSS 2.1
    • contains Joomla 1.0 template (demo), a Joomla 1.5.9 template (demo), Mambo 4.5.X / Mambo 4.6.5 template, a CB 1.2 Template Plugin (demo), the new CB Content module, detailed documentation (25 pages) for Joomla 1.0 and (25 pages) for Joomla 1.5 environments and the license file
14. CB Content module 1.2 RC
    
    • currently offered with Joomlapolis' MyCommunity package and is now offered for documentation subscribers
    • will be publically released for free along with rest of CB Team plugins when stability is reached
    • The module allows you to place the CB user menu items in a CMS module ( demo ) template demo sites
15. File Type Plugin
    • Work in Progress
    • Allows file uploads of specific file types.
16. Facebook Connect Plugin
    • Work in Progress
    • Will be released first to CB Documentation subscribers and publically once it becomes stable.
    • Demo will be available very soon.
17. CB Admin Module
    • Works with Joomla 1.0 or Joomla 1.5.
    • Properly configured, will add a new backend menu item and/or a new backend cpanel item that provides quick links to CB and CBSubs (if present)
